Optimization Dispatch of Island Microgrids Based on an Improved Grey Wolf Algorithm
To improve the economic efficiency of islanded microgrids, an optimal scheduling model is established with the aim of minimizing the overall operational cost. This model takes into account the financial gains associated with seawater desalination processes. To solve the model more effectively, the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) is enhanced through the integration of three techniques: Tent chaotic mapping for population diversity, a nonlinear strategy for dynamically adjusting the convergence factor, and the incorporation of Cauchy mutation to strengthen global search capabilities. The improved Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm is employed to address the optimal dispatch problem of the islanded microgrid. The results show that the total operating cost of the island microgrid with seawater desalination load included is 3086.03 CNY over the scheduling period. This represents a reduction of 538.32 CNY compared to the model without considering the desalination load, resulting in a 14.85% improvement in economic performance. The results validate the correctness and superiority of the proposed model.
