Hybrid ACO and PSO Optimization Based Routing in Vehicular Networks using VanetMobiSim and NS2

This study introduces a new routing protocol called GPSV for VANETs, designed to improve packet loss, delivery ratio, and throughput, addressing flooding multicasting challenges. The ACPSOR model enhances routing in VANETs using ACO and PSO methods, incorporating GPSV with location, speed, and optimal coordinates factors. The approach enhances vehicle ad hoc network routing using ACO and PSO. In proposed model, smallest number of nodes is used to determine most suitable node through the application of PSO equations. In network throughput, the existing technique PATH achieves 140.36 Joules, KDVI achieves 257.15 Kbps, and MORU achieves 305.46 Kbps whereas the proposed method achieves the highest throughput of 324.87 Kbps due to the characteristics of the proposed protocol. In average delay, the proposed technique achieves an average delay of 115.02 ms, which is lower than that of the existing techniques PATH.
