Parkinson's Disease Screening with Spiral-Hand-Sketch: A Study with MobileNet and KNN
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a degenerative neurological disorder, which affects motor ability and often interferes with a person's ability. This research presents an automated screening system to examine the PD's impact using the spiral-hand-sketches (SHS) using MobileNet (MN) based tool. The stages in this tool includes the following phases; (i) SHS collection and resizing, (ii) feature extraction using MN-based scheme, (iii) Classification with SoftMax and performance verification. This work aims to analyze the SHS using MN-variants and the outcome achieved with the binary classification is then considered to confirm the merit of the developed scheme. An experimental investigation confirms that the MobileNetV2 along with K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) helped to achieve an accuracy >92% with the SHS database.
