Research on the Control Algorithm of a Non-Torque Loading Device for a Wind Turbine Test Platform Based on Co-Simulation

Objective: In order to improve the accuracy and stability of the non-torque loading device on the wind turbine test platform, a control algorithm for the parallel loading device based on the Stewart platform was investigated, and a co-simulation platform integrating ADAMS, AMESim, and MATLAB was established to achieve an electromechanical-hydraulic integrated simulation. Result: It was demonstrated that the establishment of a dual closed-loop PID model reduced the discrepancy between the actual output force of the hydraulic cylinders and the theoretical values. Comparative experiments with a single closed-loop PID control model showed that the dual closed-loop method effectively reduced the difference between the actual load at the shaft center and the simulated wind load. Conclusion: the experimental results validated the accuracy of the load conversion model and the control strategy, and a theoretical basis was provided for the practical control of the wind turbine test platform's loading system. The value of the co-simulation method in the design of complex loading systems was thereby confirmed.
