Analysis of Levelized Cost of Energy for Wind Power
This article analyzes and calculates the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for wind power projects, outlining the cost structure which includes investment and operation & maintenance costs. Using the LCOE model, the article examines the factors influencing costs and calculates the cost per kilowatt-hour through a case study. The study finds that investment costs mainly consist of turbine purchase, construction, and loan interest, while operation & maintenance costs increase with the turbine’s age. Reasonable returns are key to sustainable development. The final LCOE for wind power is calculated to be 0.3482 yuan/kWh, providing a theoretical basis for project pricing.
