Wrapping a Pattern to Scanned Curved Surfaces for Ablation
This paper provides an explanation of how a pattern is modified to prepare it for ablation on a curved surface. The paper also explains how a surface is scanned and calculated based on a set of measured points. The measured points should be accurate enough that the calculated surface is within 1 μm of the actual surface. Using the scanned surface and the modified pattern, the pattern ablated on to the actual surface will resemble the original pattern intended to be ablated.
