Efficient removal of short- and long-chain perfluoroalkyl carboxylate acids from surface water matrices using a quaternary ammonium functionalized adsorbent derived from waste Karanja shells
CTAB-coated waste Karanja activated carbon showed high removal of PFASs comparable to the state-of-the-art commercial ion-exchange resins with long-chain PFASs exhibiting higher equilibrium uptake while short chain PFASs demonstrating faster kinetics.
