«A la bartola», «a pachas» o «pasarlas canutas»: las palabras idiomáticas «inclasificadas» dentro de locuciones en español

The objective of this paper is to offer an analysis of the main morphological, syntactic and phraseological characteristics of a set of special lexicon present in Spanish idioms. These are «idiomatic words» (voices without meaning whose only possibility of appearance occurs in a idiom) as the Spanish words bruces, garete, longuis, pachas, etc. (which appear only in the Spanish idioms de bruces, al garete, hacerse el longuis [somebody] and a pachas), for which their lexicogenesis or etymology is not clear or is unknown, uncertain, discussed, etc. Due to this fact, they avoid the traditional genealogical classification of such idiomatic lexical words. Thus, it will be highlighted its main disposition to: a) configure adverbial idioms (especially fixed in the feminine gender both singular and plural, b) appear determined by an explicit article, c) show characteristic linguistic marking such as colloquial or slang, and d) present an extraordinary predisposition to linguistic variants within the exclusive framework of his idiom).
