In the mini-review, using the example of the first systematic works on synthetic organic chemistry under the supervision of Professor A.G. Ibragimov, the possibilities of using metal complex catalysis for obtaining new fullerene compounds in their reactions with organoaluminum reagents, N-, S- and O-nucleophiles are demonstrated.
