Metal–organic framework-based sensors for the detection of heavy metal ions in water
The development of heavy metal ion sensors based on metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) has enabled effective detection through fluorescence quenching/enhancement, electrochemical sensing, and colorimetric methods, despite many existing challenges.
