Development of blue-green algae culture in water from border reservoirs of the Caspian Sea on the territory of Azerbaijan under experimental conditions

The article is devoted to an experimental study of the possibility of development of blue-green algae in water taken from coastal waters of the Caspian Sea located on the territory of Azerbaijan. The objective of the study is to test the possibility of acclimatization with subsequent cultivation of primary producers in the form of blue-green algae in the waters associated with the coastal strip of the Caspian Sea. To achieve the research objective, key natural features of the coastal part of Azerbaijan were studied. Then, in October 2024, water samples were collected from water bodies of different origin and nature, located from south to north along the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea: Lankaran; Salyan, Absheron, Khizi, Shabran districts. Water was collected from the coastal part of the Caspian Sea, from lakes, runoff hollows, tidal (lagoon) depressions.
