Degrade VOCs from spray exhaust gas by grounding electrode atomized dielectric barrier discharge coupled with Fenton reagent
In this paper, benzene, methylbenzene and dimethylbenzene were used to simulate the spray exhaust gas , and a new type of threaded-wire hole electrode was designed as the inner electrode of the grounding electrode atomized dielectric barrier discharge reactor. The discharge characteristics were investigated and the effects of different factors on the degradation efficiency of VOCs were discussed. On this basis, coupled with Fenton reagent, and the results showed that adding Fenton reagent could improve the degradation efficiency, and the degradation process of VOCs was optimized by changing the ratio of Fenton reagent, which provided a reference for the study of VOCs degradation. • Fenton was mostly used for wastewater treatment. In this experiment, it was introduced into the treatment of VOCs waste gas. • Replace the water used in traditional atomization with Fenton reagent to improve the degradation efficiency. • Uses a new type of threaded-wire hole electrode attached polyester vinyl cotton, to achieve uniform atomization. • The Fenton oxidation method in the study of VOCs treatment by grounding electrode atomized medium blocking discharge.
