Evaluation of the effectiveness of superovulation in dairy cows using a domestic follicle-stimulating drug of pituitary origin

The article evaluates the efficiency of superovulation induction taking into account various parameters of donor cows. The study determined morphometric parameters of the ovaries, hormonal levels, and the number of ovulated follicles. It was found that the concentration of anti-Müllerian hormone can serve as a prognostic criterion for selecting embryo donors. Deficiency of endogenous luteinizing hormone in the superovulation drug could be the reason for the decrease in the efficiency of the superovulation scheme. The negative effect can probably be compensated by introducing an additional dose of gonadotropin-releasing hormone-based drugs. The shortcomings of the domestic follicle- stimulating drug of pituitary origin used for superovulation induction are revealed. Directions for further research are proposed to increase the level of reliability of the prognosis when selecting embryo donors.
