SUSTAINABILITY OF BIODIVERSITY IN WATERCOURSES
Nature can be preserved, restored, and used sustainably while also achieving various social goals and promoting structural changes. The concept of sustainable development addresses the limitations of previous development models. Sustainability is both a crucial prerequisite and the ultimate goal of the ecological approach to preserving our natural environment Biodiversity represents an evolutionary response to the constant changes in environmental conditions. Protecting ecological diversity is vital for the overall health and functioning of watercourses. Ecological protection establishes objectives for water conservation and management, ensuring that the natural environment and aquatic flora and fauna remain undisturbed. Sustainable management of watercourses is essential to facilitate changes within the natural river ecosystem. Urbanization, agricultural development, pollution, and resource exploitation are among the primary causes of wetland degradation. Climate change exacerbates these issues, as does careless behavior, such as the improper disposal of municipal and industrial waste.
