BIPOLAR AFFECTIVE DISORDER YESTERDAY AND TODAY: A NEW LOOK AT THE PROBLEM

The review article is devoted to the study of modern problems of bipolar affective disorder (BPAD). The his-torical aspects of the formation of the concept of bipolar disorder, approaches to classification, features of the clinical picture of BPAD with comorbid pathology are considered. In addition, factors influencing the risk of suicide in this nosology are touched upon.
