Investment trends in IoT, AI, Blockchain, and Big data technologies in Vietnam's transportation and logistics sector

This study analyzes investment trends in four foundational technologies of Industry 4.0 within Vietnam's transportation and logistics sector, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Blockchain. Through a survey of 129 experts from transportation companies, logistics enterprises, government agencies, and training institutions, the research reveals that Big Data is evaluated as having the strongest investment trend with 75.96% positive responses, followed by IoT (68.98%) and AI (64.34%). While Blockchain received more cautious assessments, it still garnered 49.61% positive evaluations regarding its application potential. The study identifies significant differences in assessments among stakeholder groups, with logistics companies demonstrating the highest readiness level for technology investment. The research findings provide an overview of digital transformation trends in the industry while suggesting further research directions on implementation barriers and multi-technology integration models within Vietnamese enterprises.
