CONGENITAL ANOMALY OF THE BRAIN VESSELS: ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION OF THE VEIN OF GALEN (CASE REPORT)

The article analyzes literature data and presents a clinical case of a newborn boy with arteriovenous malfor-mation of the vein of Galen (AVM VG). In the presented observation, the pregnant woman was not registered with the antenatal clinic, and AVM VG was diagnosed on the third day of the child's life after the deterioration of his condition. As a result of a comprehensive examination of the patient, including computed tomography with bolus contrast and neurosonography, the following diagnosis was made: multiple congenital malformations (CM): atrial septal defect, functioning arterial duct, aneurysm of the vein of Galen, arteriovenous shunting. The death of the newborn occurred 15 days later due to progressive deterioration of the condition. The clinical and pathological diagnoses coincided.
