WATER MONITORING OF THE PROTECTED HABITAT „TRSKOVACA POND“
The study includes data obtained from multi-year research conducted as part of the monitoring program covering the fishing water of Trskovaca pond. During the examined period, low dissolved oxygen values and elevated biological and chemical oxygen demand were observed. A sparse phytoplankton community was recorded, corresponding to the II class of ecological potential. An exception was the summer period of 2019, when a mass occurrence of the species Microcystis aeruginosa was detected, confirmed by elevated chlorophyll a concentrations. Except for that case, chlorophyll a values ranged within the II–III class limits.
