MODELLING PERSONAL DATA SECURITY THREATS TO ENSURING THEIR PROTECTION

In the context of the rapid development of digital technologies, such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things and big data, the protection of personal data (PDn) is becoming an increasingly urgent task. Modern information systems process huge volumes of PDn, which increases the risks of leaks and unauthorized access. To effectively counter these threats, it is necessary to use an integrated approach that includes technical, organizational and legal measures. Modeling PDn security threats is a fundamental tool in ensuring information security. It allows you to systematize possible threats, identify their sources and develop appropriate countermeasures. The basic threat model approved by the FSTEC of Russia serves as the basis for building a personal data protection system, taking into account the classification of threats, including information leakage through technical channels and unauthorized access. The article examines various approaches to threat modeling proposed by domestic researchers, including the use of tools such as MS Excel for the practical implementation of threat models. It also analyzes methods for assessing risks and developing protection measures that meet legal requirements and international standards. Thus, effective modeling of personal data security threats provides a systematic approach to identifying and neutralizing potential threats, facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements and increases the level of trust in information systems.
