ASSISTÊNCIA DA SAÚDE PRIMÁRIA NAS COMUNIDADES QUILOMBOLAS: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

This study aimed to analyze scientific production about the potential, challenges and prospects for improvements in primary health care in quilombola communities. This is an integrative literature review, with a qualitative approach, descriptive in nature. A search was carried out in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) databases, using the following descriptors: quilombolas, primary health care and primary care, associated with boolean operator AND. According to the articles researched, it appears that primary health care in the quilombola community, despite comprehensiveness, family guidance, home visits and nursing consultations, there is still a weakened relationship between this population and local health services. Since the studies presented challenges such as difficulties in access, poor quality of care, insufficient health services and, above all, structural racism. In view of this, changes are necessary to implement improvement actions such as welcoming, strengthening health practices, creating bonds and including local culture in care practices.
