BIOCHAR FROM WHEAT STRAW AND WOOD: A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION FOR PESTICIDE REMOVAL FROM WATER
This study investigates the efficiency of biochar derived from wheat straw and wood in the adsorption of pesticides, lindane, and β-endosulfan from water. The differences in adsorption between the two biochars were analyzed over various time intervals, considering their characteristics. The results show that both biochars effectively remove pesticides, with the biochar originating from wheat exhibiting slightly higher efficiency. This research offers environmentally friendly alternatives for treating contaminated water, contributing to the preservation of water resources.
