ANÁLISE ERGONÔMICA DO SETOR ADMINISTRATIVO: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
This paper presents a literature review on the main obstacles to implementing ergonomics in the workplace. The research highlights cultural, organizational and structural factors that hinder this application, even in the face of scientific evidence. The benefits obtained when ergonomics is correctly followed are also considered. OBJECTIVE: To investigate, through a literature review, the main obstacles that hinder the effective implementation of ergonomics in the workplace, even in the face of scientific evidence of its benefits for workers' health and organizational productivity. METHODOLOGY: This study is fundamental in a literature review with listed articles and the data used as the foundation of this work were collected in magazines, books, periodicals and articles researched in the Pubmed, LILACS, SCIELO, BVS portal, Medline, Cochrane and Google Scholar databases, published between 2024 and 2025 in Portuguese and English. RESULTS: From the bibliographic research carried out, it was possible to identify a consistent overview of the main obstacles faced in the implementation of ergonomics in the workplace. Despite the extensive scientific evidence that proves the ergonomic benefits for both workers' health and organizational performance, there is still a significant gap between theory and practice. CONCLUSION: This literature review showed that, despite extensive scientific evidence regarding the benefits of ergonomics in the workplace, its application still faces several obstacles. Among the most recurrent factors are the lack of technical knowledge, the lack of training of the professionals involved, structural limitations and the distorted view of ergonomics as a cost, rather than as an investment in health and productivity.
