INCIDÊNCIA DAS VIAS DE PARTO EM UMA CLÍNICA PRIVADA DE FISIOTERAPIA

Pregnancy is a period of intense physiological and emotional changes, requiring adequate monitoring to ensure maternal and fetal health. This study aimed to analyze the incidence of delivery routes, considering physiotherapy preparation as an influential factor in the choice between vaginal delivery and cesarean section. This was a retrospective observational study, carried out through the analysis of 200 medical records of pregnant women between 18 and 45 years old, treated with pelvic physiotherapy between July 2022 and December 2024. The results revealed that 71.5% of deliveries were vaginal and 28.5% were cesarean sections, with the indications for cesarean section being related to maternal or fetal conditions or the pregnant woman’s choice. Pelvic physiotherapy has been shown to contribute to the promotion of vaginal delivery, reducing fear, increasing women’s confidence and facilitating postpartum recovery. Physiotherapy intervention can be an important ally in humanizing childbirth, encouraging more conscious and safe choices.
