Crowd Counting in Large Gatherings and Events using MCNN a Brief Study
Public safety, crowd management, and event planning all depend on accurate crowd counting, but in extremely dynamic and crowded settings, this is still a difficult task. The intricacies of different crowd densities, occlusions, and perspective distortions are frequently too complex for traditional techniques to handle. We present a thorough analysis of the Multi-Column Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) for accurate crowd counting in this work. In order to analyze crowd scenes and produce high-fidelity density maps, the MCNN uses a multi-scale approach with multiple branches. Our study shows that the model can handle a variety of crowd scenarios, from sparser settings to densely populated urban areas, through extensive experimentation on benchmark datasets, including the ShanghaiTech dataset. In addition to providing scalable and dependable solutions for practical applications in extremely crowded and dynamic environments, this research advances crowd counting methodologies.
