Performance Analysis of Multiple Input Multiple Output System using Training-based Channel Estimation Method

In wireless communication systems, reliable and efficient data transmission depends on an accurate channel estimation. The channel response of the received signals is frequently determined using the LMMSE (linear minimum mean square error) approach. This study compares the bit error rate (BER) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of ZF (Zero-Forcing) receivers with LMMSE receivers. A multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system with various antenna configurations is the system under investigation. These antenna designs were taken into account when analyzing and comparing the bit error rate (BER) performance of two receivers. Analysis reveals that LMMSE outperforms ZF receiver.
