Incoherent Polarimetric Imaging Results From a DVB-T2-Based Airborne Passive SAR Radar
Polarimetry is a powerful technique used to measure the rotation of electromagnetic waves on chiral objects, providing valuable information about their molecular structure and concentration. It is also widely used in remote sensing applications, such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), to distinguish between different object types. Passive SAR radar operates using existing illuminators of opportunity, such as DVB-T, 5G, and others, to generate radar images of the Earth's surface. In this paper, we present results and analyses of incoherent dual-polarimetric passive SAR images. We calculate SAR images for both copolarized and cross-polarized antenna setups and analyze the differences between the two images of the same illuminated scene.
