Implementation of IoT based Women Safety System
This project presents an IoT-based women safety system designed to provide real-time monitoring and immediate emergency response. The system utilizes a NodeMCU microcontroller as the central processing unit, interfacing with various sensors and modules to enhance personal security. A pulse oximeter is integrated to monitor the user’s heart rate and SpO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> levels, ensuring continuous health tracking. In case of distress, a panic button triggers multiple safety measures, including the transmission of GPS-based location data to pre-registered contacts via the IoT platform UBI DOTS. Additionally, an onboard buzzer alerts nearby individuals, while an LCD display provides real-time status updates. For extreme situations, a non-lethal shock mechanism is incorporated as a deterrent. By leveraging IoT technology, this wearable device offers a comprehensive safety solution, enabling remote monitoring, instant notifications, and an efficient emergency response system to enhance women's security.
