Intelligent Fishing Forecast and Monitoring Platform for Fishermen and Coastal Authorities

Fishermen confront huge difficulties due to unexpected oceanographic and meteorological situations, which pose substantial hazards to their safety and working performance. Sudden weather changes, such as storms, high winds, and shifting currents, cause life-threatening scenarios and complicate decision-making, restricting safe navigation and catch optimization. Coastal authorities also struggle to guarantee fishermen’s safety, as the width of marine areas hinders continual inspection, leading to gaps in situational awareness. Insufficient communication routes further delay emergency responses, creating hazards in critical situations. This article presents an Intelligent Fishing Forecast and Monitoring Platform, merging Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and GIS technologies to give real-time forecasts, alerts, and monitoring tools. This method increases safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability for fishermen and coastal authorities.
