Designing an AES-Enhanced Framework for Secure and Efficient Data Transmission in Multi-Cloud Environments

In our research, we proposed a modified framework for multi-cloud, which ensures the utilization of AES network security standards (Rijndael). Data security in multi-cloud settings presents a overall challenge, given the multiple cloud providers and the heterogeneous nature of data traffic exchanges. We then propose our framework, which consists of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) as the basic encryption unit to meet data confidentiality needs in multiple clouds. The framework incorporates an optimized AES algorithm to ensure high-performance data encryption between heterogeneous cloud infrastructures and facilitate seamless and secure data transfer. Dynamic key management provides algorithm capability for efficient, safe, and flexible key ordering, distribution, and rotation, as well as Real-Time Intrusion Detection and Prevention components for detecting unauthorized access attempts and providing the ability to block the access console. Moreover, the compression algorithms adapt the sensor data based on real-time network conditions, which minimizes the latency over data transmission and maximizes the bandwidth utilization. We illustrate the benefits of our proposed framework on various multi-cloud setups through simulations in terms of realized improvements in data security measures and transmission speed compared to existing traditional solutions.
