Mainlobe Variable Polarization Jamming Suppression Method With Full Polarization MIMO Radar
Mainlobe suppression jamming is a challenge for radar systems, and polarization cancellation is an effective method. However, variable polarization jamming will degrade the performance of the traditional polarization cancellation technique due to inaccurate estimates of jamming polarization. This paper investigates the polarization cancellation algorithm for mainlobe variable polarization suppression jamming based on full polarization multiple-input multiple-output radar. Aiming to obtain pure jamming polarization, a change point detection method is proposed to detect change points of interpulse polarization agility jamming. Then, a jamming polarization covariance matrix is constructed within the same polarization segments to estimate jamming polarization. Finally, a full polarization multi-channel signal fusion detection algorithm is designed under the background of suppression jamming, and the detector has polarization cancellation capability of jamming suppression. Simulation results indicate that the change point detection method can effectively detect multiple change points of variable polarization jamming. The jamming suppression ratio (JSR) improves as the interference-to-noise ratio increases, attributed to enhanced jamming polarization estimation accuracy. In addition, the measured data verify that JSR can reach 35dB.
