Efektivitas Penanganan Stunting Di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang
Stunting is a condition of growth disorders in toddlers characterized by height below the age standard, and is often caused by chronic malnutrition and an unsupportive environment. This condition has long-term impacts on children's physical health and cognitive development. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of stunting management policies in Tulang Bawang Regency, with a focus on the suitability between policy plans and implementation, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and assessing efforts that can be made to improve program effectiveness. The research approach used is qualitative, referring to the theory of policy effectiveness from Dr. Riant Nugroho which includes aspects of policy accuracy, implementation, targets, environment, and process. The results of the study indicate that the stunting management policy in Tulang Bawang Regency is classified as effective, especially because of environmental support and policies that are relevant to community needs. However, challenges are still encountered, especially the low level of community understanding regarding the importance of nutrition. Recommended efforts to improve program effectiveness include strengthening socialization, increasing the capacity of Posyandu cadres, and optimizing funding, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
