PILATES CLÁSSICO VERSUS PILATES CONTEMPORÂNEO: IMPACTOS NA DOR LOMBAR CRÔNICA E DIMINUIÇÃO DA AMPLITUDE DE MOVIMENTO EM IDOSOS POR MEIO DE UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
This study analyzed the effects of classical and contemporary Pilates methods on chronic low back pain (CLBP) and range of motion (ROM) in the elderly, through an integrative literature review. Six scientific articles were selected for comparison. Classical Pilates demonstrated greater effectiveness in improving ROM and postural control, while the contemporary approach showed significant results in functionality, pain reduction, and treatment adherence. It is concluded that both methods are effective, although the contemporary method offers greater adaptability and clinical applicability.
