Solution of a system of two-dimensional Wiener-Hopf integral equations in a rectangular wedge with a functionally commutative kernel symbol

The paper provides a solution to finite systems of two-dimensional Wiener-Hopf integral equations, which have important applications in mixed, including contact problems. In particular, the equation describing the contact problem of the effect of a rigid stamp in a quarter plane on an anisotropic deformable medium of arbitrary rheology is considered under the assumption of functional commutativity of the symbol matrix, approximating the exact one. Solutions constructed in this way can be useful in obtaining qualitative properties of solutions to contact problems for materials of complex rheology and contact conditions.

Abstract

The paper provides a solution to finite systems of two-dimensional Wiener-Hopf integral equations, which have important applications in mixed, including contact problems. In particular, the equation describing the contact problem of the effect of a rigid stamp in a quarter plane on an anisotropic deformable medium of arbitrary rheology is considered under the assumption of functional commutativity of the symbol matrix, approximating the exact one. Solutions constructed in this way can be useful in obtaining qualitative properties of solutions to contact problems for materials of complex rheology and contact conditions.
