Influence of graphene on inclusions of slag–free self–shielded flux–cored arc welding layer
The slag-free self-shielded flux-cored wire was modified by including graphene at concentrations of 0.00 wt.%, 0.15 wt.%, and 0.30 wt.%. The study's findings suggest that the primary constituents present in the deposited metal are AlN, Al 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 ·MgO, MgO, and MnS. The graphene reduces the average particle size from 2.59 μm to 2.13 μm as the graphene content increases. The inclusion 2 count reduces from 1599 to 1527 when graphene is introduced at a concentration of 0.30 wt.%. The fracture mode shown by the deposited metal is characterized by brittle fracture. Without graphene, the impact toughness value is measured to be 3.2 J/cm 2 . At a graphene addition of 0.3 wt.%, the impact toughness exhibits a rise to 7.2 J/cm 2 .
