Towards Digitalisation of Companies in the Market of Transport and Logistics Services
In modern conditions, consumers of transport and logistics services make demands for safe delivery of cargo in due time, using information technologies that allow to track the entire route of cargo delivery, provide information on the calculation of carriage fees, filling out the necessary documents. In this regard, it seems relevant to study the marketing activities of transport companies in the conditions of digitalisation. The purpose of this paper is to study the specifics of motor transport and its role in logistics. The article considers the features and trends of motor transport in the transport and logistics complex of the Siberian Federal District; marketing activities of transport companies to promote them in the market of transport and logistics services. The research has shown that of great importance in marketing activity is the availability of a transport company's website and the problems faced by customers are related to the fact that the company does not always have a personal account button on this site. It allows to use the possibilities of CRM and end-to-end analytics, generates personalised offers, reminds about previous requests. The following ways of solving the identified problems were proposed: to provide information to the client on what stage the transport is at; to accelerate the transfer of documents on transport and logistics services; to reduce misinformation of clients; to relieve the sales department operators from conversations with clients; to avoid the formation of accounts receivable, as the payment status will be visible in the personal account.
