Community representation and social conflict management: approaches for sustainable development
This study examines community representation management and social conflicts through a systematic bibliographic review. The analysis included articles indexed in SCOPUS and SciELO databases, published between 2020 and 2025. The research identified conceptual frameworks regarding community actors, specifically local officials, and their relationship with social conflicts within communities. Results demonstrate a high incidence of conflicts attributed to multiple contextual factors, including state institutional weakness and limited citizen participation. The findings indicate that territorial governance and community participation serve as effective mechanisms for conflict resolution. Additionally, the study emphasizes the critical role of the Sustainable Development Goals in establishing inclusive and effective institutions. The research concludes that integrated and participatory management approaches generate equitable, resilient, and sustainable community environments.
