Comparative analysis studies on different forms of ‘N’ nutrient on the uptake, post-harvest soil status and economics of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.)
In the present scenario, promising food security with balanced, nutritious dietary habits is inevitable, while sustaining soil fertility by conserving resources and energy is a significant challenge. Quinoa is a new pseudo-cereal crop with fascinating traits that can be introduced to developing countries like India, which has diversified climatic conditions. The use of nanotechnology-based fertilizers paves a potential pathway for achieving higher yields with lower conventional fertilizer usage, and conserving energy is gaining momentum. The field experiments were conducted in farmers' fields in Sivapuri village, Varagoorpettai, Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, from February to May 2022 and 23 to study the consequences of nitrogen management on the nutrient uptake, post-harvest soil status and economics of quinoa.”
