THE ROLE OF FOOD HUBS IN ENSURING THE SUSTAINABILITY OF TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES
The role of food hubs in ensuring the resilience of territorial communities in the face of growing food insecurity is investigated. It is established that such hubs are important elements of a decentralized food system, contributing to the development of the local economy, supporting small producers, improving social integration and reducing environmental burden. The functional capabilities of hubs, their role in supporting local production, reducing food inequality and strengthening the ability of communities to self-sufficiency are analyzed. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that hubs can significantly increase the adaptability of communities to crises.
