Importancia del envolvimiento subjetivo de los trabajadores de la atención primaria en salud para el fortalecimiento de los sistemas públicos de salud latinoamericanos

The neoliberal and privatist logic that permeates public health systems in Latin America has an impact on the subjectivity and mental health of professionals working in primary care. This article aims to discuss the consequences of this reality on the quality of services offered to the population, recognizing that the subjective involvement of professionals at this level of care is fundamental to the success of public policies. Through this discussion, we aim to highlight the importance of creating a work context that allows for professional subjective involvement, fostering active listening, community engagement, and familiarity with the living conditions of the population. Only within such a context, we can truly provide quality primary health care services.
