A ‘killswitch’ peptide solidifies protein droplets in living cells

Human cells contain dozens of different types of proteinaceous droplets called biomolecular condensates. A newly developed tool provides insights into the behaviour of biomolecules in condensates and into the functions of condensates in living cells. An innovative tool can help the investigation of the biological functions of protein condensates.

Abstract

Human cells contain dozens of different types of proteinaceous droplets called biomolecular condensates. A newly developed tool provides insights into the behaviour of biomolecules in condensates and into the functions of condensates in living cells. An innovative tool can help the investigation of the biological functions of protein condensates.
