Computational and optical methods with VR integration for a digital protection system of historical buildings
This paper studies the cultural relic restoration system based on virtual reality (VR), photogrammetry, DStretch image processing technology and 3D reconstruction method. This system adopts digital technology to provide an efficient and accurate cultural relic restoration solution, combining 3D reconstruction with image optimization to restore the details and colors of damaged cultural relics. Through the four core contents of data collection, 3D modeling, DStretch image optimization, and VR integration, this paper proposes a cultural relic restoration process that integrates multiple computing methods. During the experimental promotion stage, the system uses high-resolution images and 3D point cloud data of multiple cultural heritage buildings, and uses DStretch technology to optimize the image, which greatly improves the accuracy of the restoration. In particular, the integration of optical imaging technology effectively improves the clarity and realism of virtual scenes, providing a more accurate visual foundation for cultural content restoration. The experimental results show that the DStretch optimization method has excellent performance in restoration accuracy and color restoration. By using high-performance GPU and optimization algorithm, the system response time and restoration efficiency are significantly improved, giving users a good experience. This system also shows great potential for smart city applications in historical building preservation and digital heritage management. This paper evaluates the system performance, covering the accuracy of restoration, image optimization effect and user feedback, indicating that this system has broad application prospects in the field of cultural relics restoration.
