AI-powered framework for rural landscape design: high-resolution geospatial analysis, multi-objective optimization, and real-time visualization
Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into rural landscape design opens up revolutionary potential for addressing the challenging issues of sustainable development. This work presents a novel computational framework for interactive decision-making combining real-time 3D visualization, reinforcement learning (RL) for multi-objective optimization, and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for high-resolution geographic feature extraction. Advanced preprocessing techniques help the framework handle geographical datasets—including satellite pictures and GIS-based land-use data—to guarantee consistency and precision. While RL dynamically improves landscape topologies to balance ecological preservation and resource utilization, CNNs aid the system harvests hierarchical spatial attributes essential for land-use pattern understanding. The interactive visualization tool allows users to explore and enhance designs in real time, hence encouraging active participation in decision-making processes. With 94.7% accuracy in feature extraction and a significant reduction in optimization run time compared to prior methods, experimental results indicate the system's superior performance. The suggested framework not only increases the efficiency and accuracy of rural landscape design but also closes the gap between technical analysis and practical application. By offering a scalable and flexible tool for rural development, this work promotes the inclusion of artificial intelligence technology into geographic information systems and ecological planning.
