Effects of VBM-Based Dance Training on Sensory Training Functional Areas in the Adolescent Insular

Dance training as a unique kinesthetic art has a significant impact on adolescent brain development and function. As a hub for sensory and emotional integration, the insular plays a key role in multiple cognitive functions. To address the unclear impact of dance training on sensory training functional areas in the adolescent insular, the study proposes to utilize various analytical methods such as voxel-based morphometry technique. By comparing the structural brain changes and functional connectivity differences between the dance training group and the control group, the study investigates the specific effects of dance training on insular functional areas. The results demonstrated that the dance training group showed a significant increase in gray matter in areas such as the posterior insular and the shell nucleus.
