SPECIFICS OF DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN THE MANUFACTURING SECTOR: FROM AUTOMATION TO DIGITALIZATION

The article examines the specifics of implementation and functioning of digital platforms in the manufacturing sector of the economy. The evolutionary transition from traditional automation of production processes to comprehensive digitalization of enterprises is considered. The key features of digital platforms, their architecture, functionality and impact on production efficiency are analyzed. The results of a study on the implementation of digital solutions at Russian industrial enterprises in the period 2020-2024 are presented. The main barriers and drivers of digital transformation of the manufacturing sector are identified, recommendations for optimizing the processes of digital platform implementation are proposed.
