Obrazy, które domagają się troski – na przykładzie prac z obozów koncentracyjnych z czasu drugiej wojny światowej
Images That Demand Care – Based on Works from Concentration Camps During World War II This article deals with works created in concentration camps during World War II. These artifacts were made by both professional and amateur artists. The author argues that their study requires the scientific apparatus of art history supplemented with care that will enable them to be “seen” and “heard.” The concept of care is introduced with reference to Rosi Braidotti’s affirmative relational ethics, Maria Puig de la Bellacasa’s proposal of “thinking with care,” and Monika Rogowska-Stangret’s care as a methodology. Keywords: care, art, camp art, memory, war
