Raz jeszcze o Miazdze Jerzego Andrzejewskiego albo portret artysty wieku obiegowego
Jerzy Andrzejewski’s Miazga Once More or the Portrait of an Artist of the Circulation Age Miazga [The Pulp], which appeared in three different circulations between 1979 and 1981, is a critical commentary on the state of public life in Poland during the late Gomułka era. The double self-referentiality of Andrzejewski’s diary, along with the writing endeavors of the main character, Adam Nagórski, which are embedded in the narrative, aims to provide an objective view of the environment in which the writer – modeled on a Joyce-like artist – establishes a different aesthetic of creative work as a social practice against the backdrop of the heteronomy of the cultural market. Keywords: Jerzy Andrzejewski, Miazga, culture circulations, autonomy, artist
