Adaptive Coordinated Control Strategy for a Wind-Solar-Hydrogen-Storage Coupling System Based on Grid-Forming VSG
To tackle the problems of insufficient new energy utilization and limited active participation in grid regulation within wind-solar-hydrogen coupling systems, an adaptive cooperative control strategy for grid-forming virtual synchronous generators (VSG) is proposed. First, a wind-solar-hydrogen coupling system model is constructed. Second, the grid-side converter is controlled by the VSG approach, where the rotational inertia and damping coefficient are dynamically adjusted based on the system pressure feedback coefficient and battery state of charge. Finally, a battery dynamic shutdown strategy is proposed for the energy storage system, reduces the frequency of battery charge-discharge cycles, and mitigates DC bus voltage fluctuations. Simulation results show that the adaptive cooperative control strategy of grid-forming VSG effectively reduces DC bus voltage fluctuations, suppresses power frequency overshoot and oscillations, enhances the system dynamic response, and facilitates the stable operation of the coupling system.
