Analysis of Control Requirements for Engine Driven Pump in Civil Aircraft Hydraulic System
The main hydraulic pump is typically Engine Driven Pump (EDP) in the aircraft hydraulic system. To meet the requirements of civil aircraft and airworthiness regulations, EDP design should consider the control requirements of safety, reliability, economy and so on. Control requirements to be considered in EDP design include constant pressure control, variable flow control, depressurization control, blocking control, torque overload protection control, pressurization for inlet port, separate control from auxiliary pump, and automatic control.
