Research on Calculation of Short-circuit Current of Distribution Network with Inverter-Distributed Generation with VSG

Although the virtual synchronous generator (VSG)-controlled inverter-type distributed power supply has characteristics similar to synchronous generators, its fault characteristics are different from those of synchronous generators as well as grid-following distributed power supplies, and the short-circuit currents provided by them need to be researched. The paper establishes the low-voltage ride-through strategy of VSG-controlled inverter-type distributed power supply and its equivalent model under symmetrical and asymmetrical faults, and proposes the fault analysis method of distribution network with VSG-controlled inverter-type distributed power supply, and the simulation verifies the correctness of the proposed fault equivalent model as well as the fault analysis method.
