Experimental Study on the Influence of Acceleration on the Dynamic Characteristics of Rotor-SFD Systems
The rotor plays a critical role in aerospace engines, exerting a significant influence on the overall dynamic characteristics of the engine assembly. To explore the impact of acceleration on the dynamic characteristics of rotor-squeeze film damper (SFD) systems, this study conducted both modal dynamics experiments and transient dynamics tests. The results indicate that intermittent acceleration significantly increases the vibration amplitude of the rotor-SFD system, leading to enhanced instability of the rotor system. Excessive acceleration leads to increased fluctuation in the vibration amplitude of the rotor system. Conversely, insufficient acceleration results in an increase in vibration amplitude near the critical speed during high rotational speeds.
